In a recent survey conducted by Electronic Engineering Times, "2003 Salary and Opinion Survey," engineering managers and engineers cited SoC technology as the second most likely-technology -- out of all technologies, including streaming media, Linux, and 3G wireless -- that will see "broad usage" and had the potential to spawn a "killer" application. SoC-level Automation
